Structured programs for the elderly, senior day care centers offer activities, meals, and sometimes health & rehabilitative services, in a supervised setting; transportation can be included in the fee. Two types of Adult Day Care Centers are Non-Medical, offering daytime respite for caregivers who must work or are otherwise unable to supervise the elderly person. Medical day care offers additional elderly healthcare related services such as doctors, nurses and other certified health professionals.
